A year after floods swept away an historic listed bridge in Denbighshire, Plaid Cymru MS Llyr Gruffydd is demanding greater urgency to repair the link.

Llyr Gruffydd, Plaid Cymru's North Wales MS, said Pont Llannerch near Trefnant in the Vale of Clwyd was an important and historic bridge"It's been a year since the bridge was swept away and, while I accept various public bodies have faced other challenges in the past year, I'm disappointed at the lack of progress.

Leader column: Cost of Living Crisis

Level-playing field for all sports venues - Plaid MS

Plaid Cymru's regional Member of the Senedd Llyr Gruffydd has called for a 'level playing field' when it comes to fans attending sports fixtures. The call comes after it was revealed Chester Football Club's fixtures over Christmas went ahead despite the four sides of the ground being in Wales and after concerns were raised by North Wales Police and Flintshire Council.

Sewage problems in your community

Every community council in north Wales has been contacted by Plaid Cymru's regional MS Llyr Gruffydd to assess sewage contamination problems locally.

The move comes after complaints about sewage overflow in the village of Capel Curig last year.

Dwr Cymru - Welsh Water revealed that there were 3,000 communities in Wales facing similar problems and that Capel Curig wasn't even in the top 500 - despite raw human sewage flowing down the village's main road and into the nearby river at the height of summer.

Llyr Gruffydd said: "The problem in Capel Curig was bad enough but to be told, in a fairly off-hand way, that there were 500 communities more badly affected in Wales was quite shocking. I'm hoping that community councils, which have their ear to the ground, will be able to provide more detail in terms of sewage hotspots - despite requests Dwr Cymru have not provided a comprehensive list."

600-minute wait for NHS 111 service

Concerns over North Wales 111 NHS service

Plaid Cymru’s North Wales MS has raised concerns about the 111 telephone service after being contacted by health professionals.

Llyr Gruffydd, Plaid Cymru's North Wales MS, told the Senedd that the 111 service for non-urgent medical advice was launched in June of this year across the region.

Plaid Cymru's North Wales MS has urged Arriva Bus Cymru to settle the strike with 400 bus drivers across the North, which is now entering its third day.
The strike was called by Unite bus drivers after the company refused to match its offer in Wales with the 39p offer it made bus drivers in north-west England.
