One year on: Time to repair historic bridge
Plaid Cymru MS LLyr Gruffydd with local Plaid Cymru councillor Meirick Lloyd-Davies
A year after floods swept away an historic listed bridge in Denbighshire, Plaid Cymru MS Llyr Gruffydd is demanding greater urgency to repair the link.
Llyr Gruffydd, Plaid Cymru's North Wales MS, said Pont Llannerch near Trefnant in the Vale of Clwyd was an important and historic bridge: "It's been a year since the bridge was swept away and, while I accept various public bodies have faced other challenges in the past year, I'm disappointed at the lack of progress.

Leader column: Cost of Living Crisis
Although I hope we have now seen the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic, I'm afraid to say there is another crisis looming on the horizon.
In April, households across Wales will see their incomes being stretched that much further by soaring energy bills, increased National Insurance costs and higher council tax bills. Some people have been quoted energy bill rises of £200 a month - that's extra money that many families simply don't have to hand.

Sewage problems in your community
Every community council in north Wales has been contacted by Plaid Cymru's regional MS Llyr Gruffydd to assess sewage contamination problems locally.
The move comes after complaints about sewage overflow in the village of Capel Curig last year.
Dwr Cymru - Welsh Water revealed that there were 3,000 communities in Wales facing similar problems and that Capel Curig wasn't even in the top 500 - despite raw human sewage flowing down the village's main road and into the nearby river at the height of summer.
Llyr Gruffydd said: "The problem in Capel Curig was bad enough but to be told, in a fairly off-hand way, that there were 500 communities more badly affected in Wales was quite shocking. I'm hoping that community councils, which have their ear to the ground, will be able to provide more detail in terms of sewage hotspots - despite requests Dwr Cymru have not provided a comprehensive list."
